During this session delegates will be able to understand the justification and uses of taking a CBCT scan prior to zygomatic implant placement and how this CBCT data can be used in a guided surgery setting.
Specialist Dental Nurse Hannah Fullerton will join us to deliver the session "Maxillary and Zygomatic Imaging for Dental Nurses"
Hannah has been working as a dental nurse for the past 10 years. In 2017 she joined Dawood and Tanner Specialist Dental Practice, working with Andrew Dawood.
She holds an Honorary contact at University College London Hospital working alongside Andrew and the Head and Neck team providing implants for maxillofacial and Oncology patients.
She has completed post-qualification certifications in Dental Radiography BDA, Implant Nursing NEBDN, Sedation nursing NEBDN and Oral Health Education BDA. Most recently Hannah has completed a course in Surgical Design and Simulation through the University of Alberta.
With this extensive experience in advanced implant nursing Hannah is the lead surgical nurse and the first port of call for digital planning at Dawood and Tanner.
Hannah has been assisting Chloe Barrett on the Cavendish Level Two Referrers course over the past couple of years, supporting delegates navigate around a selection of imaging viewing applications.
Course Aims:
- Understand the Radiographers thought process of taking CBCT imaging of the Zygomas and what the referring clinician is wanting to see.
- Identify the critical anatomy and its radiographic appearance when working with Zygomatic imaging
- Explain how detailed 3D imaging can improve planning for and the execution of surgery
